I generally make a drawing for a wire wall art project before I seek permission to begin work. Sometimes I make a few before the buyer approves one that he or she really likes. The final drawing is pretty close to what the piece will look like when completed – not exactly, but close. Much of the character of my art comes when I bend and weld the wire.
